Welcome to Third Place, Winchester. 

Who we are: Third Place is an intentional gathering for graduate students, young professional 20-30 somethings.   Our monthly events provide a place to make new friends and build new relationships without the pressures of having to join a church or group.  All gatherings are informal.

What's up with the name?  Ray Oldenburg in his book The Great Good Place calls one's "first place" the home  and those that one lives with.  The "second place" is the workplace, where people actually spend most of their time,  Third places, are then "anchors of community life that foster and facilitate broader  more creative interaction.  We at Christ Church understand that finding that Third Place, a place that is welcoming and comfortable, where both new and old friends can be found  is not always easy, especially when you are new to a community, or just starting out on your own. 3rd Place, may be what you are looking for.    If you are interested in finding out more about 3rd Place, please feel free to contact Melissa Chavez at mchavez@su.edu.
